Get to Know Caroline

Caroline Leonard is a visual artist born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, and she is currently studying at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. She will earn a double B.A. degree in Art Education and Art Studio in Spring 2026. Caroline’s art connects to overarching ideas about women’s rights and identity, which she conveys throughout many mediums. Caroline also plays with themes of irony/humor, which is conveyed through hybridization of forms. Caroline has participated in many art exhibitions, both inside and outside of the university. After graduation, Caroline plans on becoming an art educator. She is continuously creating new lesson plans and engaging with the art education community for the benefit of her future classroom. She is very excited to teach the art making process to students across all ages.
